FULL NAME; Vores Valefar Vyers
NICKNAME(S); Legion
AGE; 35
NATIONALITY; Amestrian
OCCUPATION; Terrorist for Hire
MILITARY RANK; Ex-Captain
ALCHEMIST?; No
CHIMERA?; No
ABILITIES/TECHNIQUES; Well, Vores is a man of many talents, but his absolute, most refined skill is causing destruction. Whether it be guns, chemical weapons or his favorite. . . explosives. He is at the forefront on the art of killing people and causing absolute mayhem. He has had many years to prefect his skills and many employers willing to give him the best tools to do his favorite pastime. In fact, many of his employers regretted ever having hired him, some even went as far as to refuse to pay him for the acts he performed and learned quickly enough that he gets his pay. . . either what was arranged or he takes it by force.
It should be noted that while he may be somewhat insane, he is also quite intelligent in his own right. He often creates his own weapons, always striving for a better way to kill the largest amount of people with the least amount of effort. It is because of this goal that he enjoys explosives so much. Not only do they cause death, but destroy the very stone and earth around him.
Running a close second place to his most important skill is the fact that Vores has no fear. He can be shot at and simply walk towards it, firing away with a grenade launcher as if he was taking a stroll down a beach. It is also this lack of fear (as well as his weapon obsessed mind) that allows him to calculate and detonate explosives extremely close without killing himself.
Next up is Vores' ability when it comes to chemical weapons. While these weapons are capable of causing large scale death they are largely unused by the military due to the unpredictable nature of their affected area due to wind changes. Vores however has no such qualms about causing additional death and often uses these to level the battlefield against alchemists or overwhelming opposition, due to so few people having the proper equipment to combat their effects. It is because of his using these weapons that Vores always has his specialized gas mask on when going into a combat situation.
The last ability he has is that he is obsessed with automail, he sees it as the forefront of destruction, because in his mind the most deadly weapon is a human being. . . and if a human being were to be made from automail in some way then he believes they might very well be the most destructive weapon created. It is to this aspiration that Vores spends some of his free time designing automail and various automail related items. As of now the only reason Vores has not gone through with changing his own limbs over is he has not found an automail mechanic that he trusts enough to do the procedure.
HAIR; Blond / Spiked
EYES; Green
HEIGHT/WEIGHT; 6'6'' 227 lbs.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES; First of all, Vores is a fairly tall man. While there are definitely people throughout Amestris that make even him seem short, by and large he is taller than most other individuals he encounters. Apart from that the most prominent or at least the most noticeable feature would be the large scar on his left cheek. This was earned when he was a young man working in the mines and has since stretched as he aged maintaining a roughly triangular shape. Lastly, if someone were to get Vores to take of his shirt or other clothing they would see a mass of flesh that was more scar tissue than skin.
BASIC DESCRIPTION; While Vores' facial scar certainly detracts from his appearance, most women would still call him a fairly handsome man. With fine blond hair spiked up and trimmed daily, a small amount of stubble and piercing green eyes the color of emeralds it is easy to see why so few people would suspect him of being what he is. What is generally a pleasant appearance can instantly turn into a fearsome sight to behold. Eyes that previously seem beautiful become utterly dangerous and what was originally a cheerful smile becomes a grin full of joy from seeing death dealt to those around him.

PERSONALITY OVERVIEW; Vores' mind a complicated and horribly twisted briar bush, with only a few blossoms of savory qualities. Still. . . even with these few flowers there is no real chance that he could ever live what most would consider a normal life. Then again it is lunacy to think that Vores could ever tolerate a normal life; oh there was a time when he could have stood living a normal life, but that time is far in the past now.
The Good: As mentioned before there are a select few qualities that most people would deem as "good" qualities. The first is that Vores is in fact, quite intelligent. He enjoys reading books on physics, chemistry as well as engineering and by now could probably hold degrees in all three of the previously listed subjects.
Secondly he is a man of honor. . . at least, his own skewed perception of what honor is about. If someone is kind to him, he in turn attempts to be kind to them. He does his best to not break promises and almost never lies. To put it plainly his sense of what is important is somewhat like that of a child's.
It should also be noted that Vores vastly enjoys both music and conversation. While the enjoyment of music is much easier to understand with Vores saying it helps focus his mind, the enjoyment of conversation is rather odd for someone so obsessed with the killing of others. The truth of the matter is that Vores has always wanted to be cared about ever since his early life in the mines. It must be said however, that sometimes his enjoyment for conversations can turn rather dark. . .
The Bad: To put it quite simply, Vores can be a very cruel individual. He is a creature of chaos and as such is only truly happy or comfortable when surrounded by it. While he can restrain himself long enough to do some preparation work or even go have a meal at a cafe, generally he finds himself unable to hold back his blood lust for more than a day or two.
As if enjoying such destruction and killing was not bad enough, Vores has a rather unnerving obsession with creating better ways to kill people and discovering more about the human body. This has in the past led to Vores performing various experimentation on individuals. These experiments ranged from how much damage the human body could endure, new chemical components effects and even touched on the benefits of putting automail on soldiers. It has also in the past led to some of his more colorful "conversation" with Vores essentially torturing the other individual in order to learn every single detail about them.
The Weird: Well to be quite frank about the whole situation, Vores is utterly insane. As it currently stands Vores has six personalities lurking throughout his mind. One of these personalities is Vores' own mind and is always in control of the body. The other five merely act as ghosts of a sort, speaking to Vores and pushing for him to do certain things. For anyone hearing Vores talk to his self-claimed "family" they are forced to settle for half of the conversation, as Vores only physically speaks for himself with the other personalities voices only appearing in his mind.
The Personalities
Charles Appears as an older man in his mid to late forties. Overall Charles acts like a gentleman and is one of the restraints Vores has to calm himself. In Vores' mind Charles taught him proper manners and will always chastise him for being rude. It could be said that this aspect of Vores' personality one part of what little decency he has left.
Altos Appears as a man in his late seventies, but is still in fairly good physical condition. In Vores' mind Altos acted as a teacher, pushing him to learn physics, mathematics and other forms of science and even helped him learn how to read and write. It could be said that this side of Vores is his love for knowledge and is what partially led him into the weapons field.
Markus In Vores' mind Markus has been a friend for a long time and even joined the military to help Vores with his work. Appearing in his early thirties like Vores, Markus has black hair and fair skin. In Vores' mind Markus reached the rank of Second Lieutenant and Vores went as far as to even make a fake personnel record in Central Headquarters. This is said to be the personality that led Vores to enjoy the art of combat and the feeling of accomplishment at completing a job.
Mors Appearing as a heavily scarred man in his late forties, he is the most sinister of Vores' personalities. It is this personality that constantly whispers into Vores' ear that he should destroy, that he should kill. While Vores may ignore him from time to time he always listens to him eventually. This personality is essentially the summation of every horrible experience Vores has had to endure and as such is the summation of his cruelty.
Miles Appearing as a young boy of eleven or twelve, the personality Miles is the second restraint available to him. While Miles does not often like people, he does love the world as a whole and is constantly amazed by it. It could be said that Miles represents the remainder of Vores' innocence.
As a final note, it should be mentioned that Vores does not see what he is doing as wrong. Oh he understands that he is breaking the laws of man, but he does not see his actions as wrong in themselves. When asked what made him want to kill so many people by a psychiatrist Vores answered with this:
"I despise the fact that so few can understand why I do what I do. Oh yes, I enjoy the money I got, the fame that came with my skill. The reason I do what I do though is because I like to make life more interesting for everyone. I mean what is more interesting to you? A month of going to work with nothing happening out of the ordinary or a single night of fireworks? I merely bring excitement to people's lives and give purpose to my creations at the same time. It is all one big win win scenario for everyone.

BASIC HISTORY; Vores' story begins like any other person's story. He was born, after that the similarities end and his life took a most regrettable turn. Unlike many children Vores was not wanted, unlike many unwanted children he was not left on a doorstep somewhere, but instead was sold for enough money to buy a weeks worth of food. His new master had decided to try making a so called "long term investment" and it just so happened that Vores was the trial run of this new plan.
From that point on Vores grew up with two or three dozen other men as a slave. Most of the others treated him as a nephew of some sort or at times even like a son. Once he was old enough to lift a tool he was set to work digging at the rich coal and iron seams in the area.
Many things happened to Vores while he was at that mine, some worse than others. As said, most of the other slaves were good to Vores. Some of them however took too much of a liking to him, or rather to his form. Oddly enough it would turn out later that they cared for him the most.
Vores worked his hands in those mines until they bled, then simply kept working. He learned how to push himself further and further, he learned the basics of making explosives and using them when they had to blast tunnels clear. It was also there that Vores met the girl he fell in love with.
While there were no women amongst the slaves, the mine owner's daughter was there nearly every say. She was beautiful to Vores, skinny with long blonde hair and bright blue eyes, her skin with just a lick of tan. She was indeed a beauty and many of the other slaves stared after her just as Vores did. The difference between the other slaves and Vores' looks though was that when Vores looked, the young woman looked back.
At first Vores thought he was mistaken, that he just kept catching her gaze by coincidence. After awhile he began to think that she knew he was watching her and was angry, that she would tell her father. Oddly though, instead of the punishment he had been waiting for he was assigned to work in the mine owner's manor until he recovered from an injury gained in a tunnel collapse. It was on the first day that Vores ran into her, quite literally. At first he was scared that she would have him killed, but instead she rushed to his side seeing that the cut on the side of his head had opened up.
In that moment she took him to her roomed and cared for him. She replaced his bandage and gave him some medicine that her father kept for the guards and himself which was never supposed to be wasted on slaves. She gave him food and most importantly in Vores' eyes the young woman actually spoke to him. In the entirety of his life he had only been talked to by the other slaves. As for the guards and the owner of the mine, they had never talked to him. . . they had merely talked at him. All he ever heard from them was "Go do this, then do that." With her however, she actually talked to him like another human being.
She talked about herself and asked about him. To his own disappointment he could say little about himself. Hell, at the time he did not even have a name to give her. Everyone at the time from the owner to the slaves had always just called him boy or kid. When she learned of this, she was not put off in the least however. Instead she walked over to a bookshelf in her room, flipped open a book and picked a name from it. Vores Valefar Vyers. . . it would only be later that Vores learned how well the name fit him, or to be said better how well the story the name came from fit him. The character in the story had everything taken from him, lived through horrible pain and used this sadness to forge himself into a wise ruler. While Vores is obviously not some sort of king he is the master of himself now.
After that week together, which happened to be the best moment in Vores' life at the time, the two of them continued to try and speak to one another. Gradually the initial turned into something stronger. Stolen moments where they just spoke slowly became stolen kisses when no one was looking. Eventually the two of them continued further into their relationship and after a few years came up with a plan to run away with one another.
They planned for months, saving up a little food and what money they could. While she had free access to food, Vores also went without most of his. Not to save, but to trade with the other slaves for a few items he thought would be useful. Three months of near starvation was a small price in Vores' opinion if it meant he could spend the rest of his life with the girl he loved. To put it plainly Vores would have crawled through glass, hot coals, razors and proceeded to swim through an ocean if it meant being with her.
The night of their escape was a cool one, refreshing after the hot day that had seemed as if it would cause a person to combust any minute. Vores recovered the supplies he had traded for in the past few months and proceeded to stand below her window. After tossing down the food she had taken she leaped down herself. Vores caught her easily enough however with the muscles gained from mining and soon they were off into the night.
The two of them got about a mile before they loosed the dogs on them and were consequential treed within another hour. Both of them were brought back to camp where they were confronted by the girl's father. Kaylin remained quiet and would not meet her fathers eye. Vores was overwhelmed by love when he saw that she would not speak against him or ask forgiveness from her father. This feeling was quickly sent fleeting from his mind when one of the father's guards spoke up quickly about how she was probably in shock, that the boy might have did something to her. . . as if Vores would ever have hurt her.
The father however knew that she had ran off willingly. . . that defiance was all he needed to know. So he punished the both of them. Kaylin's father forced her to punish Vores herself. First it was just a simple beating, but eventually she was forced to use sharp blades and hot irons to write a reminder on Vores' flesh that he was never to go near her again. She held out until the first hot iron touched Vores' skin, the sudden hiss being too much for her.
After that the guards took up where she left off. They were not so gentle as Kaylin had been. To Vores' surprise the only slaves that even made an attempt to help him were those that he had once thought to be the ones who hurt him the most. They were killed for trying to interfere. . . after that the others just walked away and left the guards to do what they pleased.
By the end of it Vores was barely alive. Hell the only reason he was left alive was because the owner could not afford to lose any additional works. Vores was more useful alive to dig, especially when he had killed three others to ensure that he was properly made example of. It took Vores nearly a year to fully recover from the ordeal.
In that time Kaylin was watched very closely and only once in awhile could the two of them actually see each other, hold each other. Once Vores was strong enough though he promised himself and her that they would both be free. Vores planned it better this time. This time he would have something as a distraction. He hid small amounts of explosives each week, so small that it took nearly another year to save up enough powder for one large charge and five small charges the size of a fig.
The large charge was placed at the opening of the mine and he convinced another slave to report a gold seam on the pretense that all of them would rise up and escape. Once the majority of guards were down there with the slaves Vores blew the opening and buried all of them alive. Vores felt no remorse for lying to the slaves, why should they be allowed to escape when they had simply stood there that day, not caring whether or not he died. They cared only for themselves so Vores saw no reason to trust them with Kaylin's life.
Vores proceeded with the plan, moving into the house and killing those that got in his way. By the time he got to the owner's office Kaylin's father had already grabbed his daughter. Kaylin's father knew how much Vores cared for her and was hoping to use her as a shield so that he could escape. Vores however would be the victor that day, throwing a small knife he had made from an old worn down pickaxe, the blade sinking right into his forehead.
Where Vores smiled towards his love afterwards she simply stared at him in horror. Before the smile began to even dim from his face Kaylin was slapping him screaming at him that he should not have killed her father. It was then that Vores did something he could never take back, something he would never be able to face. . . he killed Kaylin. He had not meant it of course, but she had been slapping him and he had pushed her off of him. She proceeded to fall backwards and fall through a nearby window, breaking her neck upon landing. It was this incident that broke Vores' mind, coupling all the years of abuse with the death of the only person he cared for, the only person who had cared for him. . . he could not face it so his mind protected itself by pretending it had not happened.
Vores left the mining outpost, making use of a hand cart to carry all the supplies needed for two people as well as the corpse of the woman he loved. In his mind she merely refused to speak to him, but was perfectly healthy otherwise. It was as he proceeded South that Vores came upon three of his friends, three parts of his twisted personality. Markus, Altos and Mors. Altos schooled Vores in reading from one of Kaylin's books since she no longer wished to speak, Markus trained him to fight better and Mors helped him steal whatever they needed to survive.
Months later, Vores found a job working in a factory which produced rifles, a factory that held a great deal of contracts for the Amestrian military. It was here that Vores first discovered his talent for weaponry. In Vores' mind Altos continued yelling at him to study more and more, so once Vores had learned how to read and write he could not be kept from a book. Even when Vores had no money for books he would steal them or would sit in the bookstore reading them. When Vores had been on the move he had traveled light, but now that he had a home in Central he began to acquire more and more books.
Vores' home was a smaller house with three bedrooms. In Vores' mind it meant everyone had to share a bit, but oddly always seemed to have enough room. Even when Vores' other two personalities of Charles and Miles formed and apparently came to live with him it was comfortable since they actually took up no space. Neighbors thought him a tad odd for having so much room for only himself and a wife that they never saw, but did not really investigate it.
After that point Vores continued to study a great multitude of subjects. Physics and chemistry being his most heavily studied fields. This research led to Vores inventing spectacular explosive devices and many other weapons for the military, the most interesting ones however Vores kept to himself.
After making such wonderful weapons for the military the higher ups decided they wanted Vores on their payroll and as such, he was approached by a certain Colonel named Basque Grande. He wanted Vores to serve under him personally and help with some weapon developments during his stay. He offered a good amount of money and more importantly he offered access to books, materials and facilities Vores would never otherwise have the privilege to work in; naturally Vores agreed. The years immediately after his agreeing were rather tedious, with Vores just constantly training his body and researching into new and better ways to kill people.
Soon though it was the start of the Ishvalan War. Unlike some other scientists Vores did not serve solely on the back lines, his profficency with his weapons allowed him the privilege of field testing them himself. Whenever he tired Vores would fall back and either would command artillery units or would do less than humane testing on captured enemy combatants. It was also during the Ishval War that Vores picked up the codename of Legion, it being said that he was as deadly as an entire legion by himself.
It was during the Ishvalan War that Vores lost any respect he had for Basque Grande, who had planned to kill one leader to so that he could detain the rest of his followers. This infuriated Vores as he had recently sent a report to the Furher with projected mortality rates for the new weapons Basque Grande's men were using. So Vores took the only option he had left. . . he balanced the numbers.
In order to do that Vores killed fifty-one soldiers, two state alchemists and one hundred and thirty-one civilians to ensure the written promise he had made to the Furher was kept and to ensure his creations were used to their maximum potential. Sadly Vores was arrested shortly after they discovered him wiping the blood of the two state alchemists he had flayed for interfering with his work. When asked why he had flayed them rather than just killed them Vores said that it was to teach them a lesson, after all children who are not punished never learn. After that Vores was imprisoned for his crimes.
Prison however was not the end of his story. In his many years in prison he found himself being temporarily released time and time again. You see, Vores abilities at combat made him one of the most talented non-alchemists killers in Amestris. The Furher would never allow such a useful tool to just sit around gathering rust.
So whenever Bradley needed a building bombed or a large group of people killed he unleashed the so called Legion after them. This pattern repeated for several years, Vores content to stay in prison so long as he could spread his fireworks from time to time. Sadly however, Vores began to notice the Furher finding less and less work for his particular skill set.
It was after six months of staying in prison with no jobs that Vores finally grew tired of the waiting and planned his escape. He began to have small things smuggled into prison for a price, basic chemicals in the form of common household items. As a finale for his escape act he agreed to be interviewed by a psychiatrist who sent a request every few months. During the interview he shared just about everything that had happened in his life with the Doctor, answering all of his questions as best he could. This was a sort of thank you to the doctor from Vores for providing the final component.
The day after the escape the military investigated the incident, revealing that Vores had used glycerin obtained by rendering the psychatrist's fat and mixed it with several other chemicals to blow the lock on his cell. Once out of his cell he utilized the few remaining explosives to kill nearby guards, proceeded to salvage their firearms and killed the remaining prison personnel on his way out.
Investigator Report - At twenty hundred the guards for that particular wing of the prison were supposed to change shifts. When the relieving shift arrived they found all fifteen soldiers dead as well as Dr. Kellsen dead. His stomach had been cut open and his fat reduced over a can of cooking oil that was smuggled in somehow. It was later determined that the glycerin was added to a nitrate capsule another doctor who had previously visited before took for heart pains and the mixture was placed inside the lock to shatter it, unlocking the cell. The doctor's notes were recovered at the scene and have been filed with this report.
Doctor's Notes - It is my expert opinion that prisoner Vyers can not be held responsible for any of his actions. It is my belief that he suffered a psychological break during his escape from the mine. By his general behavior I believe he either accidentally killed the woman named Kaylin. Either he misjudged his throw or when she reacted poorly to her father's death Mr. Vyers could not restrain himself from killing her.
Mr. Vyers while having compassion to a degree does not allow it to effect what he sees as his responsibilities and will kill to ensure the completion of even the most mundane tasks. He is definitely too dangerous to ever re-enter society. Furthermore I will be asking for the local police to investigate his home. While I am sure it has not been maintained seeing as his friends are merely other personalities, I am curious to see why Mr. Vyers believes so intense that Kaylin is with him, as he even speaks of them having tried to have children.
Furthermore I suggest extra measures be taken to ensure the security of Mr. Vyers for both his own protection as well as others. Should he ever get out I believe he would simply begin to kill again in an attempt to prove the worth of his weapons and skills which he believes the military under valued when they locked him away.
Perhaps the most dangerous aspect about Mr. Vyers is the fact that his insanity is fairly well concealed aside from the occasional outburst at someone who is not there. I do believe he could walk into any shop or public building and act perfectly normal. . .
After escaping Vores went to his house, finding it ransacked. Upon further investigation upon his part he found a grave for Kaylin at a local cemetery for Central residents. Finally his mind admitted that Kaylin was dead, although it still denied that he was the responsible one. In Vores' mind Kaylin died because he was imprisoned and unable to protect her.
As previously mentioned, Kaylin had been dead since his escape several years ago. After his arrest the military had conducted a search of his house and it was only due to the Furher's interest of using him for his own means that Bradley covered the findings up and had the body of Kaylin buried both in an investigative sense and literally.
Now Vores works as a mercenary for hire, although many people in the military call him a terrorist for hire due to his nature of killing far more people than he is hired to. Vores is unable to accept a vast majority of jobs such as protection detail and investigations. Protecting people is just not in Vores' nature, as for the investigation jobs he simply gets too bored with them. Give him a target however and you can expect the target, the people around him and possibly the entire building being wiped from the map.
