He didn't know where he was. He had never bothered to listen to his mother when she was explaining where they were going. No, he was too focused on the moving landscape beyond the glass that separated him from the rest of Amestris. His face was pressed up against the glass with his hands on either side of his face, his breath creating warm fog on the smooth surface. The scenery outside blurred, the different shades of greens, browns, and blues mixing together to form one big mess of lines with random pops of colors whenever they passed flowers or people. The car wasn't even going that fast, but with your face so close to a foggy window and your vision beginning to blur, anything could happen.
Feeling a sharp tug on the collar of his shirt, the boy was pulled back down to his seat. He let out an oomf! at the impact, a frown forming on his face as he turned toward his mother, a pout forming as his bottom lip jutted out. His pouting got him nowhere, so he settled with crossing his arms across his chest and staring out the window once more. The narrowing of his eyes didn't last for long as he was once more captivated by the moving colors as the car turned and began to slow down.
He didn't know where he was. It was a town, that much he knew. It wasn't one he knew about, however, but it was a town nonetheless. The driver got out of his seat, moving to open the door to let his mother out. Normally he would have slipped out after his mother, but his excitement got the better of him. He gripped the handle, giving a great push to force open his door. Out, out he went, the door hanging open as he shot off to explore. He could hear his mother calling after him, but the grin on his face was enough to let anyone know that he wasn't listening.
He was on a mission: find the most interesting thing or person.
