With a final lurch and sudden hiss of steam being vented the afternoon train into Central from West City finally arrived at the station. This train brought with it the standard goods and travelers with it as always, but on this particular day a red haired giant stepped off of it, that giant's name was Victor Hunter.
Ducking and turning sideways Victor just managed to squeeze through the door of the train and stepped onto the platform, a smile nearly big enough to split his face in two quickly forming upon looking around the station. It had been nearly two months since he had last been home and this particular trip marked the end of his hunting for Bradley sympathizers. While Victor was admittedly a little worried over where he would get stationed with this task coming to its conclusion, he did not really mind too much. The truth of the matter was he did not care where they sent him so long as it was not back to West City. Even with the plan involving the other higher ups two years ago being revealed, his former comrades back in West City still were upset by his turning on them during the Battle for Central.
Pushing the thoughts from his mind, Victor instead turned them back to the joy of his homecoming. With a slight laugh Victor began moving through the crowd, his immense size and blue uniform causing people to step back a step or two and allow him to pass more easily. Looking at the faces of the people he passed, Victor was happy to see that a large majority of them seemed more appreciative of the military these days. Being called a dog of the military was a much more rare occurrence these days and would hopefully become more and more infrequent.
After leaving the train terminal and moving into the actual streets of Amestris, Victor allowed himself to simply be carried by the crowds for a short while. While he was ecstatic to be back home in Amestris he was not looking towards the debriefing, both from the military as well as his father's own version of it. While he loved his father, he was certainly in no rush to have his mind picked apart for every little detail. So as the titan of a man moved with the crowds he would occasionally stop at a little street vendor's stall, doing a little shopping to kill more time.
By the time Victor finally got the Blue Dragon Cafe his father ran his arms were loaded with the variety of items he had purchased. Wine, candies, books and even a rug from Ishval had managed to catch his eye and demanded him to buy them. With hands so full Victor was forced to back through the front door of his father's cafe, thanking the powers that be that his father had wanted a inwards swinging door while he did so.
Effectively blinded by all the stuff in his arms, as well as the fact that he was moving backwards Victor never noticed the chair that had been left pushed out by a hasty patron. Like a clumsy child the Forceful Alchemist found himself forced to the floor by a bit a wood. . .
Not bothering to activate the transmutation array on his body, Victor took the force of the fall with little more than a grunt upon landing. Scanning the room from his new, unobscured vantage he looked to the blond haired girl sitting at the table just a few feet away from where his head rested on the wooden floor. Staring at her for a moment Victor face suddenly broke into a grin before he moved to stand up, setting everything save a box of chocolates on a nearby table. After unburdening himself, Victor quickly turned and moved to the young woman's table, an embarrassed grin on his face, his left hand rubbing the back of his head slightly while the right proffered the chocolates to her.
"Not exactly my most graceful moment. Tell you what, you forget about that blunder of mine and the chocolates are yours. I'd hate for a cute woman like yourself to remember me as a klutz."
